Ecotravel Uganda Terms and Conditions
Please take NOTE of the following travel Terms & conditions.
Airfares and delays
Please note that Ecotravel Uganda Ltd. cannot be held liable for any inconveniences, airfare changes, schedule alterations, cancellations, loss of baggage and property, delays or additional costs incurred as a result of airlines failure to meet its obligations. These schedule changes are beyond the control of Ecotravel Uganda Ltd and any resulting additional costs must be borne by the guest.
Changes of itinerary or accommodations
We strive to provide excellent and professional services to our esteemed clients. We will do our very best to provide the travel arrangements and activities that have been confirmed in the package. However, while nearly every thing can be possible in Africa, Acts of nature and seldom unavoidable circumstances such as flooding, wildlife migrations, airline and or booking problems may necessitate change and modification of routes. In this case, Ecotravel Uganda Ltd reserves the right to make alterations but these will be discussed with you our esteemed guest.
Please note that if any accommodation mentioned in the package is unavailable at booking time, Ecotravel Uganda Ltd reserves the right to substitute similar accommodations. If similar accommodations are unavailable, we will substitute dissimilar accommodations. In this case if lesser or upscale options are sought, we will refund you or charge you the addition for lesser or upscale options respectively. However, substitutions rarely occur if timely payments and bookings are made.
Wild Animals
Undertaking a safari in Africa may take you into close contact with wild animals. Attacks by wild animals are rare, but no safari into the African wilderness can guarantee that this will not occur. Ecotavel Uganda Ltd cannot be held responsible for any incident, injury or even death resulting from your exposure and contact with Wildlife. You are advised to follow safety instructions from the local staff at any accommodation facility while on safari.
Passport, Visa and Flight confirmation
While our staff on request by the client may assist with confirmation of flight dates and time, it’s the guest’s responsibility to ensure that passports and visas are valid for the countries they plan to visit. Ecotravel Uganda Ltd cannot be held liable for any flight missed, visas and/or passports that are invalid or not lost.
Booking confirmation
Your booking shall be confirmed up on payment in advance of 40% of the package/tour price, plus 100% for the gorilla permits. The balance of the price has to be paid 8 weeks prior to the trip or on arrival. Payment of deposit confirms that you have read, understood and agree with our terms and conditions.
Cancellation
The following cancellation fees are applicable.
90 days and above 20% of the tour cost
89 - 60 days 30% of the tour cost
59 - 30 days 40% of the tour cost
29-15 days 70% of the tour cost
14- 0 days 100% of the tour cost
There will be no refund for gorilla permits as per the government policy but Ecotravevel Uganda Ltd will liaise with other local tour operators to sell them off. It is the client's own responsibility to arrange a full insurance with an insurance company.
